Job description
We are looking for future team members for daytime and evening sessions who can provide a high standard of subject knowledge and deliver individually planned sessions to our students on a 1:1 basis.
You will need to be flexible, committed to our students, and have high aspirations for them. In return, we can offer you flexible working hours to suit your needs, a fully resourced teaching centre, a bank of National Curriculum planning, materials and resources for all ages and subjects with support from an on-site manager and DSL, as well as acompetitive rate of pay.
- Organize individual tutorials in line with National Curriculum and examination board specifications.
- Prepare materials and activities.
- Assign homework and interesting exercises.
- Identify students with special requirements and create individualized plans.
- Determine exam and assignment grades.
- Provide feedback based on workload and tutorial assessment.
Keep a record of students’ progression. - Manage tutorial crises and resolve conflict.
- Maintain records for reporting to educational coordinators.
- Collaborate with teaching staff and administrators to foster a good student experience.
Requirements and skills
- Previous experience as a teacher/ tutor/ lecturer/ educator.
- Knowledge of various teaching methods.
- Deep understanding of the national curriculum and examination board specifications.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
- A patient and resilient personality.
- Dedication to students and education.
- BSc/BA 2:1 or above or related subjects; MSc/ PhD is a plus.

Maximize Education is a private educational facility offering alternative and supplementary education provision to students covering Key Stage 1, Key Stage 2, Key Stage 3, GCSE, A Level, undergraduate, post-graduate, and adult learners. Maximize Education mirrors the academic year, working with the curriculum to support students at all levels of their studies.

At Maximize, we believe in creating a safe, relaxed, familial, and productive environment where pupils of varying backgrounds, abilities and needs can work 1:1 with staff committed to providing tailored, bespoke sessions.
We are a close-knit team, and our current project means we are looking to recruit tutors, teachers and teaching assistants to join the expansion of our centre. Supported by an on-site Designated Safeguarding Lead, our staff follow the English National Curriculum and prepare students for GCSE examinations, as well as Functional Skills and other independent qualifications, to help them achieve their potential.
We have historically provided excellent and rewarding work experience and employment opportunities to university graduates and students, particularly with an interest in teaching/education/EYFS/educational psychology as a career.
