Frequent questions

Are there registration or exit fees?

No.

What if we no longer want tuition?

Simply call or email us. We will check the number of tutorials completed  against your payment account. If anything is outstanding we will request a closing payment.

Will I always get the same tutor?

We have subject teams of tutors. You will usually get the same tutor for your chosen subject but occasionally you may see another member of the team, especially if we think specific skill development will be enhanced by input from an alternative tutor.

What if I need support one week with a subject not listed on my registration ?

If a relevant subject tutor is available or your existing tutor has the skill base to cover the subject requested, we will swap your subject for that week.

Are there student reports and scheduled parent meetings?

Each student has a progress report file updated during each tutorial.
We have an open door policy, so parents can request progress updates any time. Simply email infomaximizeeducation@gmail.com for to request a progress update. Private parent meetings can be booked any time, and take place by phone, video call or a scheduled meeting in the centre.

For brief catch ups parents are always welcome to come to the centre for a chat with management or a specific tutor when they drop off or pick up on their child.

What does this cost?

Each student has a bespoke payment plan designed for them based on the number of tutorials booked and the number of months these will be delivered over. The total cost of the booked tutorials is divided by the number of months attending to give equal monthly payments.
Anyone registering in July for the following academic year can spread their costs across 12 months.

What if we miss a tutorial?

If you miss a tutorial your tutor will prepare your tutorial as a bespoke PowerPoint and email it to you. Maximize always make a welfare check to guardians if a student does not arrive within 10 minutes of their planned tutorial.

If more than 24 hours notice is given for a planned absence we will reschedule your tutorial to a different day or time – as a catch up – subject to timetable availability.

Can I study more than one subject using one hours tuition per week?

Yes, we can rotate your subjects in the same time slot.

Do you set homework?

Yes. We ask students to prioritise their school homework over tuition homework if they have a busy week but we expect to see our homework returned for marking each week.

Do fees include VAT ?

Yes.
